I came across the name Mandaadi and wanted to understand what the film actually is, beyond the names attached to its trailer. I therefore checked the producer’s current website and recent Indian coverage rather than relying on the discovery link that first brought the title to my attention.
The key picture
RS Infotainment’s official website lists Mandaadi among its upcoming films. It identifies Mathimaran Pugazhendhi as the director and Soori as the star, and frames the story around a formidable sailor from a coastal town entering the dangerous world of sea racing.
Cinema Express adds more context from the trailer: Soori plays a former racing champion who returns and trains a team against a rival side led by Suhas’s character. Its report identifies Mahima Nambiar and Sathyaraj among the cast, GV Prakash Kumar as the composer and Elred Kumar as the producer under RS Infotainment.
The same report says the film is scheduled to reach theatres on 10 September 2026. Daily Thanthi also reports that date and says the theatrical release is planned in Tamil and Telugu.
